Buying real estate on the island of Antigua is a very straight forward process. Antigua's real estate laws are designed in such away as to encourage foreign investment as well as protecting them after they purchase.

As with any real estate transaction you will need to retain the services of a lawyer that will act on your behalf. JHR has a number of well qualified and efficient lawyers that are waiting to assist you with your purchase. Typically lawyers will charge 1% to 2% depending on the purchase price.
As a non Antiguan purchasing real estate in Antigua you will need to apply for a non-citizens license. This will amount to 5% of the purchase price. A non-citizens license can take up to four months to be granted depending on your legal representation and the speed of the application process. In addition to the non-citizens license you will also be required to pay 2.5% stamp duty to complete the purchase.
By purchasing though JHR you'll have a team of young professionals scouring the coastlines and hilltops of this beautiful island in search of the perfect Caribbean retreat.
The JHR team will be with you every step of the way.
